1) Check your goods before signing as the delivery company will only be able to put an insurance claim through if DAMAGED is written on the proof of delivery. If you are unsure about the goods or the driver is being difficult sign as PRESUMED DAMAGED.

2) Allow 10% extra paving for wastage, cuts, chips and breakages. This is an industry-standard ‘spillage’ and anything under this amount will be classed as acceptable and reasonable damage within the industry and Sales of Goods Act.

3) In the very rare case that you receive your goods and damages are in excess of 10% of the quantity ordered, please report this within 24 hours and send a photo of the breakages.

4) Prepare for your delivery vehicle, for pallet or larger items deliveries will be made on a wagon that has a tail lift and a pallet truck (some products maybe delivered on Hiab/Crane/Forklift at our discretion). Access must be made for a lorry (up to 32ft and 18 tons in weight). You must advise us of any restrictions that will impede the delivery vehicles from delivering the products as we may be able to send the goods on a smaller vehicle. The delivery will be made kerbside unless the driver feels it is safe to get the goods closer to your property this will be at their discretion. 

5) Ensure that the delivery area is flat and solid enough to take the weight of a pallet truck carrying up to 1000kg in weight. Please note Gravel and Grass are not classed as solid and flat. If the delivery area is not flat the driver will require help in getting the pallets off the vehicle. If help cannot be given there will be a redelivery charge to deliver at a time when help can be given. If you live on a hill you will need to call us before you order to find out if our delivery company can deliver to your address. This is for health and safety reasons, usually the easiest method of getting round this for the order to be delivered to the nearest flat ground. It will be your responsibility to move the goods to your property.

6) Redelivery charges will be made if you refuse the goods or are unable to accept the goods at the time. The redelivery rules are very strict, set by the delivery network and are very costly. (This is not applicable to parcel deliveries)

7) Whilst we will always make every effort to deliver the products on the agreed delivery date we can not be held responsible for matters beyond our control that results in your products not arriving on the day in question. Please do not book builders or hire equipment for the day of delivery in case of any events resulting in the scheduled delivery being delayed.
